Security researcher Troy HUNT reported that passwords and personal information of GateHub cryptocurrency wallet accounts and RuneScape bot provider EpicBot were compromised.

According to Hunt, the personal information of 1.4 million GateHub cryptocurrency wallet user accounts was revealed, as well as data for about 800,000 user accounts of the RuneScape bot provider EpicBot.

The stolen information reportedly includes email addresses, passwords, two-factor authentication keys, mnemonic phrases, and wallet hashes. GateHub representatives said that wallet hashes were not accessed.

This is not the first time that a Gatehub has a data leak. In June, hackers managed to crack about 100 XRP Ledger wallets, which led to the theft of almost $ 10 million. Also in June, Gatehub warned of a phishing campaign targeting wallet users. According to the company, GateHub wallet users received malicious emails from addresses that looked like they were from GateHub: “@ gatehub.com” and “@ gatehub.net”.
